Me temo que tendre que retirarme por un tiempo hasta que termine mis examenes ): lo siento tanto, la verdad ni he tenido tiempo de arreglar algunas cosillas, como un premio que me dio una queridisima bloguera por ahi <3 hihi que en cuanto tenga tiempo publicare. Por mientras, no me odien, si es mi ultimo año en el colegio!

Birdie 47 - Art is...

Have you heard about Mark Ryden? Well, I knew about him because of a friend of my mother, which is an art teacher, and I simply loved his paintings. He's an american painter, very known because of the landscapes and scenery almost childish, but with very grotesque and provocative characteristics, an art between the obscene and the inoccence. People fights to get painted by him, and to buy his paintings, who are very associated to occultism, because of the alchemic and magic hidden symbols. Definetly, he wants to break schemes. If you see his page, his actual exposition, The Gay's 90's shows a pink-dressed Abraham Lincoln.

Han oido hablar de Mark Ryden? Bueno, yo lo conoci por una amiga de mi mamá, que es profesora de artes, y me fascinó. Es un pintor americano, muy conocido por pintar paisajes y dibujos casi infantiles, pero con caracteristicas practicamente grotescas, y provocativas, un arte a medio camino entre lo obsceno y lo inocente. La gente se pelea por ser retratada por el y comprar sus cuadros, los cuales segun se dice, tienen una gran cantidad de simbolos alquimicos y magicos ocultos. Definitivamente, busca romper esquemas. Si revisan su pagina, su actual exposicion, The Gay's 90's muestra a un Abraham Lincoln vestido de rosa.

Birdie 46 - ポッキ

Today I'll talk... about food. About a candy I LOVE! Pocky.

Pocky (ポッキー, Pokkī) Is a japanese snack, which is a bread stick covered in a variety of flavours (the most common is chocolate) Its name is given because of the sound when pocky is bitten; pokkin (ポッキン)

Its first flavour was chocolate, but after that appeared almond and strawberry. Actually you can find so much flavours as milk, mousse, green tea, honey, banana, coffee, caramel, choco-banana, cream cheese, pineapple, tangerine, blueberry, apple yogurth and coco, and there are special versions which appear in some year epoques, like kiwifruit and mango.

Hoy les hablare... de comida. De un dulce que me encanta, el Pocky.

Pocky (ポッキー, Pokkī) es un dulce japones; consistente en un palito de pan cubierto de distintos sabores (el chocolate es el mas comun) Su nombre se debe a el sonido (u onomatopeya si quieren que me ponga mas exquisita) cuando el pocky es mordido; pokkin (ポッキン)

El primer sabor fue de chocolate, pero luego aparecieron de almendra y frutilla. Actualmente hay tantos sabores como leche, mousse, te verde, miel, platano, cafe, caramelo, chocolate-platano, queso crema, piña, mandarina, arandano, yogurth de manzana y coco, y hay versiones especiales que salen cada cierto tiempo, como kiwi y mango, Aca en Chile, los venden en los supermercados japoneses en el barrio Patronato.

Birdie 45 - Style Icons I; Anita Pallenberg.

Today I'll begin with a little new section, a section about people who made a big changes in the world; socialités related to music, cinema, arts, and obviously; fashion. Anita Pallenberg, A 70's fashion icon. Italian, model, actress and groupie, she had relationships with three different Stones; Jagger, Jones... and the most remembered, Keith Richards; they're still one of the most crazy couples in the rock world (Oh, I'm so envious!) Marianne Faithfull's friend. 

Inspiration of the song "Angie" and the villain in Barbarella, She was the living esence of Hippie Chic and Boho.

Jill Stuart evokated her in the F/W 2009 Collection, so you can see how much her style has trascended.

Hoy inicio con una pequeña y nueva seccion, una seccion acerca de gente que ha hecho grandes cambios en el mundo; socialités relacionados con musica, cine, arte, y obviamente; moda.
Anita Pallenberg; un icono de la moda en los 70. Italiana. Modelo, actriz y groupie, estuvo con tres Stones diferentes; Jagger, Jones... pero es mas recordada por formar con Keith Richards una de las parejas mas locas del Rock. (Que envidia, eh?) Amiga de Marianne Faithfull. 

Se dice que fue la verdadera inspiracion de la cancion Angie, y encarno a la mala de Barbarella. 

Es la esencia viva del Hippie Chic y el Boho.

Jill Stuart la evoco en su coleccion F/W el 2009, para que vean todo lo que ha trascendido su estilo. 

And what do you think about her style? I have a jacket just like hers in second picture, and I LOVE IT. (Fake fur, obviously) I don't know if I could dress as outrageous as her, but her hats and shoes are to die for.

Y que opinan ustedes de su estilo? Por lo demas yo tengo una chaqueta como la de la segunda fotografia, y me EN CAN TA (Fake fur, obviamente) No se si podria vestirme asi de extravagante como ella, pero sus sombreros y zapatos son la muerte.

Birdie 44 - Tea.

Isn't tea the most perfect excuse for so much things? Al least for me, it evokes my mother and her cinnamon scented tea, cuddle in bed watching a movie, folk and relaxing music. It evokes me all the simple but delicious things in life.

No es el té la mas perfecta excusa para tantas cosas? Por lo menos a mí, me evoca mi madre y su té con canela, acurrucarme en la cama viendo una peli, musica folk y relajante, me evoca todo lo sencillo pero delicioso de la vida. 

Birdie 43 - Scared.

Sometimes I question myself. And I feel that all what I'm doing, even if has beautiful things, as all things, has its bad side. I mean, all what I'm doing is help to sell an image? That image of... the girl with lot of clothes, who's succesfull for having it? Its important to have relation with your enviroment, but I'm scared about this.

A veces me cuestiono. Y siento que todo esto, a pesar de ser hermoso tiene, como todas las cosas, su lado malo. Es decir, lo unico que hago es ayudar a vender una imagen? Esa imagen de... la chica con mucha ropa, que es exitosa por tenerla? Si bien es importante relacionarse con el medio me asusta todo esto.

Birdie 41 - AFRO.

I like afro. Because it was very sensual, from the 60's, and had a lot of personality. Because it doesn't makes me feel weird with my curly hair, which I love, but sometimes I have the insecurity complex, I mean, let's be sincere, even if its very chic in the whole world, here in Chile the long and straight hair is still better. And this makes me love my hair. Also because, it hasn't so much frizz.

Me gusta el afro. Porque era sensual, de los 60's, y tenia un monton de personalidad. Porque no me hace sentir extraña con mi melena crespa, que aunque la amo, aun a veces me entran los complejos de inseguridad porque seamos sinceros, aunque este de moda en todo el mundo, aca en Chile sigue siendo mejor una lacia y larga cabellera. Y esto hace que ame mi pelo. Porque ademas, tiene menos frizz.

Birdie 39 - Whip it GOOD.

Do you know Drew Barrymore last film? Yeah, she acts and directs it. And I liked so much that movie. Maybe because I have a strange taste with inadapted characters, or because Daria marked my childhood. Whip It, its the typicl story if a inadapted girl, but it has that different taste that calls you to watch it. The nicknames are simply cool. Babe Ruthless, Eva Destruction, Smashley Simpson? Haha. It has also a beautiful photography, the pool scene is something magical. Plus? Ellen Page, that is starting to be a icon girl of this kind of movies. Other plus? The soundtrack, a piece of jewerly. Here it is.

PS : I'll confess that this movie made me want to learn to roller skate. I had a Barbie rollers when I was a kid, but I had this trauma with falling. Goal for this year?

Conocen la ultima pelicula de Drew Barrymore? Pero ademas de actuarla, la dirigio. Y me encanto la pelicula. Sera porque tengo un gusto por personajes desadaptados, o porque Daria marcó mi niñez. Whip It. Es la tipica historia de la chica desadaptada, pero tiene ese gustillo distinto que llama la atencion. Los sobrenombres son sencillamente geniales. Babe Ruthless, Smashley Simpson? Haha. Tiene tambien una fotografia preciosa, la escena de la piscina es algo magico. Plus? Ellen Page, que ya comienza a convertirse en un personaje icono para este tipo de personajes, y del cine distinto. Y otro plus? La banda sonora. Una joyita, aca se las dejo.

PS: Confesare que esta pelicula hizo que quisiera aprender a patinar. Tenia unos patines de Barbie de chica, pero tenia un trauma con caerme. Meta para fin de año?
